Introducing The Z-Wing Downrigger

The Science of sub-surface fishing moves   closer to perfection with the introduction of the patented Z-WING downrigger system.  Operating on the principle of hydrodynamic depression rather than just weight, the Z-WING overcomes the shortcomings of the conventional downrigger systems.

Having the ability to troll lures and baits over a wide range of speeds without complicated adjustments to the length of the tow cable has been the dream of downrigger anglers and captains for many years.  Now the Z-WING downrigger system has made this dream come true.

The Z-WING is a lightweight, 13” x 7” piece of virtually indestructible polypropylene plastic.  No more heavy lead balls rolling around the boat or swinging off the end of downrigger booms which can cause damage to both angler and boat alike.

The Z-WING has three positions with the center hole being the most efficient.  Attaching the Z-WING 250 by the center hole will produce a 16 degree downward angle, far outperforming a 5 lb. lead ball.  The Z-WING will hold this angle and lateral position at speeds from 3 knots and up.

This is the newest addition to our Roscoe Jig line-up. Built for medium-light tackle,  Lil’ Man weighs two ounces and was designed with bottom critters and small mouthed fish in mind.  Our field trials showed that Lil’ Man is a killer on trigger fish, black sea bass, grunts, pinkies, snapper, kings, dolphin and others!  Lil’ Man has a glow paint body with three accent colors available, pink, blue and brown.  It comes rigged with a #2 treble hook.
